Tonight, was the official launch of the FRO Festival 2014 happening every February during Black History Month. This year, the foundation partnered up with TD Black History Month Series ‘ Then and now , BAND , Michaëlle Jean Foundation and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

FRO is dedicated to promote and celebrate the heritage of different ethnic groups. As stated in their mission ‘Foundations Rely on Origins’. The foundation also encourages black women to show off their beautiful natural hair by organizing workshops, seminars and conferences on black women hair care.

The 4th Wall: Making the Invisible Visible exhibition at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts showcases local Montreal artists. This event was organized by the Right Honourable  Michaëlle Jean and Mr.Jean Daniel Lafond co-founders and co-chairs of the Michaëlle Jean Foundation. The Michaëlle Jean Foundation supports youth arts initiatives that transform young lives and  communities across Canada.
